Meet the team

I joined the business in 2004 having previously worked in Local Authorities and Universities as a Principal Officer.

I am responsible for day-to-day operations within the business as well as strategic development including overseeing sales and marketing, product development and implementation. I am the Company’s Quality Manager.

Away from the office, I enjoy travelling as much as time permits. I have also been involved in charity organisations and I was a Governor of a local school for 15 years including 8 years as the Chair of the Governing Body.

I joined Express Fire in 2003, starting out in the warehouse and over time I progressed into Sales. I have built up a vast knowledge of the fire safety equipment industry and I am now Head of Operations. 

My main responsibilities are purchasing and sales, working alongside our Warehouse Supervisor, James, and closely working with all departments to ensure that they work effectively and efficiently as possible.  

I am an avid Manchester City fan and season ticket holder and I spend much of my spare time with family and friends at our holiday home in Wales.

I joined Express Fire in March 2018, having worked in a large corporate environment. It is really nice to get back to somewhere where I can make a difference leading our Sales Team and liaising with customers. I have over 15 years experience in the Fire industry.  My role at Express Fire is very hands on allowing me to have a very good understanding of what we sell, which in turn enables me to give the service I feel our customers deserve.

I completed a BA (hons) degree in Business & Management in my 40s while working full time, I am a determined individual who likes to get things done.  I love socialising with friends and family.

I have been working at Express Fire for 16 years in the Finance Department where my key role is the general day to day accounting on both sales and purchases. This then allows the Directors to make informed decisions for the business. 

It is really good to be part of a small business as everyone works really well together as a team.

Outside of work I enjoy walking and yoga, reading and studying alternative medicine.

I began work at Thorn EMI Fire Appliances in 1984 before moving on to sales and administrative jobs with other companies until starting with Express Fire Equipment in 2013, going full circle you might say!

I very much enjoy my current role as a member of the Sales Team working with customers to provide them with the very best assistance that I can.

I joined Express Fire in 2018 as an apprentice receptionist and administrative assistant, achieving from this a distinctive Level 2 customer service qualification which is now used in my job role daily along with my knowledge and expertise gained working within the fire industry.

I have since progressed into a sales and administration position to also include other roles where needed. I will always aim to achieve the best customer satisfaction and highest levels of service & support.

I enjoy spending my spare time with my family and little girl.

I joined the Express Fire Team roughly a year ago as the warehouse supervisor. I had never worked in the fire equipment sector, so it was very new to me. I enjoyed the challenge of learning new products and services. I now have a strong relationship with all my work colleagues which means coming to work is more enjoyable but more importantly we can rely on each other and help one another to complete our work.

My main hobby outside of work is my motorbike. I have been riding motorbikes for 14 years and not long ago I purchased my dream bike “Bmw's1000rr”. I enjoy spending time with my family, close friends, enjoying a drink and some nice food.

I joined Express Fire in November 2023 as an Apprentice Receptionist and Administrative Assistant. The Express Fire team made me feel very welcome and comfortable in the workplace.
I am hoping to achieve my Business Administration level 3 qualification. I am looking forward to learning new skills in the workplace and working with the customers.
In my spare time I like to see my friends and spend time with my family.
