Fire safety and fire reform announcements May 2022

The Government Fire Safety Unit and Fire Strategy and Reform Unit on behalf of Lord Greenhalgh, Minister for Building Safety and Fire, has issued fire safety and fire reform announcements in May 2022 including:

• Launch of consultations on the Fire Reform White Paper
• Bringing into force the Fire Safety Act 2022 
• Announcement that the Fire Safety (England) Regulations will come into force on the 23^rd January 2023
• Updates on delivering the Grenfell Tower Inquiry Phase 1 recommendations.
